Mapswitch/Multimap

What is Multimap/Mapswitch?

Chiptuning involves making changes to the parameters of the engine control unit to get additional performance out of the engine. In particular, certain maps such as boost maps, ignition maps or fuel maps are optimized here.

The adjustment of these parameters is done according to fuel quality, environment, etc.

Mapswitch is mainly applied to gasoline engines.

Some enthusiasts wish to be able to make full use of their car under all conditions. For example, they want the tuning to be safe, yet maximal on a fuel that is of inferior quality. But also when they fuel their vehicle with the normal fuel or even high quality fuels with alcohol.

By applying a Multimap, we offer a solution to this need by adding additional maps into the original ECU.

Always ask us in advance if we have or can develop a Multimap solution for you.

What are the advantages of Multimap/Mapswitch?

We can gather the advantages of Multimap under the following headings:

FUEL FLEXIBILITY
When your car is calibrated on a certain fuel, it is highly recommended to drive only on this fuel or a higher quality fuel. Driving on a lower quality fuel combined with full consultation of the power can lead to engine damage due to detonation. The use of Mapswitch allows you to choose your corresponding map according to the fuel used.

CONSULTING DIFFERENT POWER SETTINGS
By applying the multimap, we can set the maps not only in function of the fuel, but also in function of the desired power.

So we can make a map with a lower power or even standard power, a map with a maximum power and even a map with a power in between. Just think about driving on a track with dry weather or rainy weather.

ANTI-THEFT
It is also possible to code a map where the car cannot start in any case. Even if they have your key, they cannot drive off with the car in this map.

How to apply a Mapswitch/Multimap?

If you wish to request a mapswitch, you may always contact us to ask if we have already developed it for the desired vehicle. If we have created it, send us the original file and we will implement the map switch in this file. If you are an experienced tuner, you can then calibrate the different map.

On the other hand, we can offer a full custom tune with multimap.
